In times of economic uncertainty, climate change, rapid technological transformation, and evolving development challenges, achieving economic stability and resilience has become fundamental to sustainable development. Countries, particularly in the Global South, are increasingly required to design evidence-based policies that promote inclusive growth while strengthening their capacity to respond to economic, environmental, and social shocks. The theme of CAICE 2026, Economic Stability, Resilience, and Sustainable Development, provides a platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange innovative ideas and empirical evidence on these pressing issues. The conference welcomes research in economics spanning macroeconomic management, sustainable development, climate change, digital transformation, poverty reduction, trade, agriculture, behavioural economics, governance, and human capital development, reflecting the interconnected nature of contemporary development challenges. Through these diverse sub-themes, CAICE 2026 will provide a scholarly platform that contributes to resilient economies, informed policymaking, and sustainable development at local, national, and global levels

Authors are requested to send their full papers to: conference.cedecon@cdec.tu.edu.np with the subject line: "FirstName_CAICE2026". Please include a cover email along with the full paper.  

Important Dates:

• Deadline for Full Paper Submission: Aug 30, 2026
• Notification of Acceptance: Sept 14, 2026
• Registration Deadline: Sept 21, 2026

Registration Fee and Financial Support:

The presenting author of an accepted paper (limited to one presenter per paper) is not required to pay a registration fee. A limited number of travel and accommodation grants may be provided to students and early-career researchers from the region.  The request must be submitted with a reason justifying the need when submitting the full paper. Observers wishing to attend the conference will be charged a registration fee of NPR 2,000 for Nepali nationals, NPR 5000 for nationals from the South Asian region, and NPR 10,000 for others.

Paper Format and Structure:

Submissions should follow the standard academic format for conference papers.

• The first page must include:
• Title of the Paper
• Name(s) of Author(s) and Co-author(s)
• Abstract (maximum 200-300 words)
• Keywords: Less than or equal to five
• JEL Classification Codes: Less than five
•  
• The main text of the paper should include appropriate headings and subheadings, where suggested sections include:
• Introduction
• Literature Review
• Methodology
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion and Policy Implications

Author(s) can follow the guidelines of the Economic Journal of Nepal (https://cdec.tu.edu.np/pages/the-economic-journal-of-nepal-1189) while preparing the paper. Author(s) must ensure that the paper has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere. Authors of the papers selected for presentation will have the option to publish their papers in the Economic Journal of Nepal.
