About the conference

CAICE 2026 brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working on the economic pressures facing the Global South: instability, climate change, and rapid technological shifts.

The programme is built around evidence based policy work. Papers that connect applied research to decisions being made now, in Nepal and across the wider region, are especially welcome.

Ten broad tracks are open for submission. Papers that cut across more than one track are welcome.

Papers go directly to the conference committee by email. Follow the subject line format so your submission is routed correctly.

Email your full paper to conference.cedecon@cdec.tu.edu.np

Use the subject line FirstName_CAICE2026, replacing FirstName with your own.

Submissions close on 30 August 2026.

What the paper needs
  • An abstract of 200 to 300 words
  • No more than five keywords
  • Fewer than five JEL classification codes
  • Standard academic structure: introduction, literature review, methodology, results, conclusion

Registration fees

The presenting author of an accepted paper attends without paying a fee. Observer rates depend on where you are coming from.

Travel grants
A limited number of travel grants are available for selected students and early career researchers.
Publication
