Dr. Adhikari is an Assistant Professor at Central Department of Economics, Tribhuvan University.  He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Informal Economy, which he completed under the University Grants Commission Fellowship. Additionally, he earned his Master in Philosophy (MPhil) from Tribhuvan University. Dr. Adhikari's research focuses primarily on informal economy and labour economics. He has actively contributed to the academic community, presenting his research at various conferences, seminars, and workshops. His works have been published in numerous journals, and he has also served as a reviewer for several academic publications, further establishing his expertise in these fields. In recognition of his expertise, He has been appointed as a Research Advisory Panelist for South Asia in the Global Labour Program-Platform for Organization by Workers for Empowerment and Reorganization (GLP-POWER), a project developed by USAID for the period of 2022-2026. He is also a certified trainer by the International Trade Centre (ITC) on its Market Analysis Tools, including the Trade Map and Market Access Map. He is an active member of both the Nepal Economics Association and the Nepal Health Economics Association, holding a life membership in both organizations. With a strong commitment to advancing the understanding of informal economies and labour markets, Dr. Adhikari continues to make significant contributions to the field through his research, teaching, and collaborations.
