The Research Committee has been established to enhance the department’s research activities,
integrating them into teaching and learning practices while contributing to national development
through research, publications, and dissemination. The committee operates within the framework of
Tribhuvan University’s research guidelines and adheres to the overall directives of the University
Grants Commission. It is committed to fostering a strong research culture, ensuring academic
excellence, and maintaining transparency and accountability in all its activities. These principles form
the basis of the Terms of Reference governing the Research Committee. The following are the broad
rationale for promoting research in the department.

1. To promote research activities and foster a strong research culture within the department.
2. To enhance the department’s visibility in national development discourse throug publications, dissemination, and active participation.
